What ConoHa AI Canvas offers is Stable Diffusion without the setup. Running it locally means having a GPU and doing the installation work; this runs entirely in a browser. If you do not have the hardware, or do not want to spend the time configuring it, this is the shortest path.

Against Midjourney (from $10/month) or DALL-E, the argument is not image quality but usability and how you are billed. There are cases where the artistic result falls short of the specialist tools, but the interface is Japanese, commercial use is permitted, and it is operated by GMO Internet Group. For producing business images while writing prompts in Japanese, it fits differently.

Billing is by time rather than by image, which sets it apart from the rest of the category. What a plan includes is WebUI usage time: 10 hours a month on Entry at ¥1,100, 50 hours on Standard at ¥4,378, 100 hours on Advance at ¥9,878, all including tax. There is no cap on how many images you generate; time beyond the included hours bills at ¥6.6 per minute.

So the cost question is not price per image but how many hours you spend in the tool. Long exploratory sessions refining prompts burn through the allowance, while knowing what you want and generating in volume is very cheap. There is no free plan, so the entry point is ¥1,100/month — comparable to Midjourney at $10/month. The interface is Japanese-only, so it is a poor fit for a workflow shared with non-Japanese speakers.
